A handy program to effortlessly factor any polynomial on your TI-84 Plus CE calculator. It handles polynomials up to x^8, pulls out common factors first, and tells you when a polynomial has no rational factors instead of crashing.
First, the program asks for the highest power. To factor x^3 - 13x^2 + 30x, type 3. Next, type the coefficient of each term, starting with the highest power (type 0 for any term that is missing). If this sounds confusing, don’t worry; the program will guide you through all of the steps.
The factoring engine is TI84CalcWiz's own, shared with our TI-84 Evo math programs. Versions of this download before September 2026 used an engine by Anders Tiberg.
